I logged in today (not my first time since the server change, mind you) and I got talked to by Jill who bought me coffee and asked me to teach her to fight. She's now my companion... at DK 15 or something.

Immediately after, I got a distract from Stern about part 2 of the Stranger quest and I was able to go there and talk to him about it.

So... something broke.
