I was fighting a Master of Disguise (I Can't Believe It's Not Butter), and decided to try out the "Flail until something drops" option. It gave a list of a lot of rounds, and each one of them said the monster's guard had been broken and it couldn't attack or defend...but then it proceeded to attack me to death.
