Hey folks, our new Code of Conduct is live, and you can find a link to it in the footer of any chat space.

While I was in there, I also tidied up the chat footers a bit, and moved some stuff so it's not as easy to accidentally hit Disable Auto-Update when trying to move between pages.

Some aspects of the new Code of Conduct won't be enforced until next year - see the previous MotD for details.

The new Code of Conduct doesn't just describe the community's expectations and list a bunch of rules, it tells some of the history of the Island that illustrates why we do things the way we do these days, and it gives useful tips about the Island's technical side not found anywhere else in the game (for example, on mobile you can type two commas and it'll Javascript into the grave accent), so please give it a read.

In sadder news, my former employer the Replay Foundation announced their liquidation last week, so I won't be going back to work after all - Improbable Island is now the sole income for me and my wife and kid, so if y'all still have jobs, now would be an excellent time to donate.

Now that we've finally got our Code of Conduct up, next week we're going to start really delving into our Arbitrary Roleplaying Stats Engine, giving it a flex, and seeing what interesting things we can do, so stay tuned for updates on that.
