Petition ID 4229: Auto Update seems to break randomly.

Over the course of a year and a half now I've noticed auto update like breaking, it happens to all of us I'm sure.
I usually dismiss it because hell, what are you going to do?
Lately, the past few weeks, it seems to be getting worse and its not just me who thinks so.
Not sure if this is a major thing or not, not sure if this should be here.. but sure that maybe it should be looked into one day?
