Petition ID 340: Auto Update Issues - Yes, Cache is Cleared

I am using the latest release of Chrome on a Vista computer. And I have cleared my cache twice, and my entire browser history (cookies and all) once.
Auto update seems to time out in less than five minutes (On one occasion, 3 min and 17 sec after me posting a comment, though this seems variable). It does display the "Auto update has timed out" message in both Story and Banter while both channels are open. Both channels seem to time out at about the same time, perhaps spaced out by a couple of seconds, however.
Another strange thing, which seems related to auto update, is that the goings-on in Banter will occasionally flash into Story for a couple seconds, or vice versa. When this occurs, it displays as if there are two identical Banter or Story spaces (though the "Story/Banter Channel" headers still display over the correct chatspace). This does not occur
frequently, but enough that I can notice a pattern. It autocorrects itself after a couple of seconds.
I have not tested to see if these issues continue with only one channel open, but I can go ahead and do so and reply to the Petition with my findings. Still an issue, though, even if it is only with both channels open.
