You duck into the pitiful tent. The overpowering odour of blood, disinfectant and crankcase oil makes you cough, attracting the attention of a grizzled old person that does a remarkable job of reminding you of a rock, which probably explains why you didn't notice them until now.



"Huh. Looks like you came in just in time," the old thing remarks."I've seen worse, but not by much." The filthy old wreck wipes its hands on a blood-soaked rag, reminding you of your local dodgy mechanic. "Jus' to let yer know, yer all welcome 'ere. We cater fer a bunch o' varied an' distinct clientele." He spits on the ground. "Midgets, humans, zombies, mutants... we get 'em all, we fix 'em all. 'cept robots, o'course - show me a man who can figure out 'ow them buggers work, and I'll show yer a robot in disguise. Anyway, we got the equipment to do it all proper, like." He gestures to a toolbox containing scalpels, screwdrivers and duct tape.



"Oh. That's nice. How much?" you ask, wondering whether you're going to be patched up with duct tape and let loose upon the world.



The old man kicks you idly in the shin as one might kick a tyre. "Hmm... from the state of you, mate, 829 requisition tokens to do a proper job," he says as he bends over and pulls the cover off a tray table stacked with shining surgical steel sharpnesses.The view of the bloke bending over to remove the tarpaulin almost does enough mental damage to require further work."O' course, I could jus' hand you over to the work-experience lads," he continues, gesturing at a table of eager-looking youths. "They'll be cheaper, but I dunno if they'll do as good a job."

2. Flavour text starts in black, then goes dark cyan.
